Cost: $13 per shrimp plate / $3.50 for the hot dog - On the menu: Butter Garlic, Lemon Butter and Hot & Spicy. They also have a garlic hotdog served on a bun or with 2 scoops of white sticky rice. The shrimp plates come with 12 pieces of shrimp, 2 scoops of white sticky rice and a lemon wedge.

Why you should go: It's the original shrimp truck. If the food wasn't good, they wouldn't have made it this long (since 1993)! Plus the best form of flattery are all the copycat trucks that sprung up since then.
What to expect: The lines can be long, but don't be discouraged they are pretty quick. If you can, go during off hours on a weekday. We were there on a Monday at 3pm and there was plenty of parking and we were only second in line. They also have restrooms that are NOT portable toilets! This is a big deal for the ladies.
There is a smoothie place next to Giovanni's called Hawaiian Island and X-treme Smoothie and Shaved Ice. It pairs well with a shrimp plate. Seems a little pricey for the size ($5.75), but it's pretty darn tasty.
